One of the most common scenarios posed to pro-life advocates is that of when a mother’s life is endangered while pregnant. Should the mother be allowed to undergo procedures and operations which will threaten the life of her child? Does that include abortion? In this episode Pieter and Cam talk with Dr. Ryan Wilson, president of the Canadian Physicians for Life, about these and other important questions which understandably demand answers, and how you can hold a consistent and absolute opposition to abortion while supporting a wide array of medical procedures which will save the mother’s life.

  1. That was a fantastic conversation. i really liked the final comment that what makes medicine a profession is the judgment that is required in determining what is best for the patient. It is important not to lose sight of this distinction – otherwise a doctor just becomes a vending machine.

    1. Thanks so much Nicole! We had a tonne of fun talking with Dr. Wilson, and I found it really important like you said to focus conscience rights of medical professionals not simply around the good of the doctor, but arguably even more so around the good of the patient!
