Optimizing Your Outcomes: Managing Your Conversations To Facilitate Change

Join Cam Côté, co-host of The Pro-Life Guys Podcast, for a 3 session course all about how to improve your conversations about abortion by optimizing your knowledge, wisdom, and character. Cam has been a part of over 10,000 conversations about abortion over the last 13 years, and has dedicated years towards honing his conversation style and training others to integrate better arguments, be more personable, and connect on a deeper level to facilitate meaningful change in the hearts and minds of those he speaks with.

Each week Cam will lead offer a 30 minute training followed by an hour discussion on the following topics:
– Making Better Arguments – This session will focus on understanding the three Rs of making good analogies (relevant, realistic, and relatable), structuring arguments in a meaningful way, and how to answer some of the toughest questions we’re hearing more and more on campuses
– Turning a Debate into a Conversation – This session will focus on how you can build rapport and relational capital in otherwise awkward conversations about abortion. We’ll talk through how tone, body language, and even humour can be appropriate in providing an atmosphere where change is possible.
– Connecting at a Human Level – This final session will focus on how regardless of your perceived ability or comfort in emotionally charged conversations, you can connect on a human level with people who have chosen abortion or have faced other heart-breaking experiences.
